We are thrilled to welcome you to Washington, DC for the 2025 GM Conference!

The conference will be held at the iconic Willard InterContinental Hotel located in downtown Washington, DC. Please remember that we are still representing Carr Workplaces. Therefore, we have chosen smart casual attire for most of the conference. This means no jeans, T-shirts, tank tops, or leggings, but it doesn’t need to be as formal as our usual office attire.

Please refer to the dress code, things to bring, and schedule of events below and reach out to your RD or AM if you need any further clarification.

Dress Code Overview

As representatives of Carr Workplaces, we kindly ask everyone to maintain a professional appearance throughout the week. Business casual is the primary dress code for the conference. Please avoid jeans (unless specified), t-shirts, tank tops, leggings, and polos during meeting sessions. 

Here’s a breakdown by day: 

Tuesday (Travel day for those outside of DC) 

  • Dress: Comfortable – It will be warm, so keep it casual yet polished for arrivals. 

Wednesday (Meeting Day)

  • Dress: Business Casual with jacket – Standard office attire (no jeans, polos, or casual wear). 

Wednesday Evening 

    • Dress: Cocktail Attire – Upscale dinner attire. Cocktail dresses, dress shirts, and smart separates are appropriate.

Thursday (Meeting Day) 

  • Dress: Smart Casual – A balance between comfort and professionalism. 

Thursday Evening 

  • Dress: Casual – Jeans are permitted. You’ll have the freedom to explore and enjoy dinner at your leisure. 

Friday (Departure Day) 

  • Dress: Casual – Business casual  
  • Important: Please bring your luggage with you to the morning session as check-out will be required before the meeting. 

Schedule of Events:

Tuesday:
  • Arrival & hotel check-in begins at 3:00 PM .
Wednesday – Willard Room (Main Hallway, Peacock Alley)
  • Breakfast: 7:30 AM
  • Meeting Dismissal: 5:00 PM
  • Group Dinner: 6:30 PM (walking distance – cocktail attire recommended)
Thursday – Willard Room (Main Hallway, Peacock Alley):
  • Breakfast: 7:30 AM
  • Meeting Dismissal: 5:00 PM
  • Evening: 6:00 PM Dinner/Event (casual and self-guided – choose your own experience)
Friday – Willard Room (Main Hallway, Peacock Alley)
  • Please check out and bring all luggage to the meeting
  • Breakfast: 7:30 AM
  • Conference Wrap-Up: 12:00 PM, followed by boxed lunch.
    • For those who are staying, lunch will be able to be enjoyed on the 8th floor at the Willard offices
